Vitra Lounge Chairs
Vitra Lounge Chairs - Elegant, modern, bequem
In the tradition of the club chair, the designer Charles Eames wanted to create a new chair - an armchair with the highest possible comfort, the best possible quality of material, perfectly executed by hand. In 1956 the Eames Lounge Chair was launched on the market after several years of development work.

Vitra Lounge Chairs - for relaxation at the end of the day or in between at the office.
The pro office store offers timeless classics and modern armchairs for relaxing. Among the novelties are the Vitra Grand Repos and the Grand Relax, both designed by Antonio Citterio, each with a matching ottoman. The famous Italian also designed the Vitra Grand Executive Highback, which is an office chair and lounge armchair in one. The famous architect opened his own studio in 1972. Together with Patricia Viel, he now runs an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design.
Premium, polished or pigmented?
He is considered the minimalist among designers: London-based Jasper Morrison has created the Vitra HAL Lounge Chair, a haven of peace for which there is a wide selection of covers - including fine leather. Vitra Slow Chair is the right furniture, for those who love the special and lightness or have only small spaces available. The lounge chair by brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec (design studio based in Paris) is made of tubular steel, over which textile fabric is stretched. One of the most famous contemporary designers is Konstantin Grcic from Berlin by choice. The industrial designer's designs never cease to surprise. The Vitra Citizen Highback or Lowback almost float above the swivel base and are in the tradition of ergonomic seating.
Retro Chairs
Back to the 70th? Then the Vitra Amoebe lounge chair by Verner Panton is the right choice, embodying the colorful zeitgeist of the early 1970s like no other armchair. The Danish designer is one of the most innovative artists of the last century. In the reedition of the Amoebe, the back shell has been made more flexible to increase seating comfort. Similarly extravagant is the playful Vitra Coconut Chair designed by George Nelson, which one would hardly place in the 1950s. Nelson, a U.S. citizen, was creative director at Herman Miller, the company that launched Vitra's success story. Company founder Willi Fehlbaum brought the "Midcentury Desin" to Switzerland, Europe and other continents. Not to be missed, of course, are the products of Charles & Ray Eames for the manufacturer Vitra, including La Chaise, the LAR and the famous Lounge Chair with stool from 1956, which you will find in their own pro office section.
