Outdoor furniture from Vitra is suitable for outdoor use if through-dyed polypropylene, powder-coated steel or aluminium are used. Polypropylene does not tire, is resistant to grease and organic solvents, physiologically harmless and corrosion-resistant. A powder coating protects steel permanently against the effects of weather. Aluminium is stable, has a long service life, good corrosion and weather resistance in the form of frost, rain and sun.

The Panton Chair is an icon from the 1960s and 1970s that has endured to this day. Charles and Ray Eames developed the Plastic Chairs in the early 1950s. The designer couple influenced the Mid-Century Style. The Vitra Landi Chair - a real outdoor classic
The Vitra Landi Chair is designed purely as an outdoor chair, but the lightweight chair also looks appealing indoors. The then revolutionary chair was developed in 1938 for the Swiss National Exhibition the following year. This milestone in the history of design was designed by linguist Hans Coray (1906-1991). The chair is made of aluminium, its seat shell is connected to the base by two crossbars. Armrests and chair legs are two in one. The 91 holes ensure lightness. The use of materials is low, but the production is complex and involves a lot of manual work. The weatherproof Landi chair can be stacked up to six high.
