The Bauhaus has produced many unique designs and ideas. One of the most successful is undoubtedly the invention of the chair without hind legs - the cantilever chair.
The construction has been a popular way to design chairs with first-class comfort since the 1920's. The absence of the hind legs gives the chair lightness and ensures the "swinging" flexibility for a special sitting comfort. Designers like Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer designed cantilever chairs, which are still very popular today. Thonet plays a special role as a manufacturer of tubular steel furniture and impresses with tubular steel cantilever chairs such as the S32 and the S411 armchair.
In collaboration with Vitra, Verner Panton developed the legendary Panton Chair, the plastic cantilever chair made of one piece.
In the pro office shop you will find many other cantilever chairs for use in your own home, the office and also for outside.
