New and sustainable - the Vitra EVO C
Elegant and 100% recyclable: with the EVO-C chair, Jasper Morrison has succeeded in reproducing the principle of the cantilever chair in plastic. The modern injection molding process of plastics now allows a strength equal to that of cantilever steel tube. The supporting structure of the chairs is formed by hollow bodies, the surfaces of the seat and back are seamlessly connected. The designer created the chair in 2020 for the manufacturer Vitra.
The design of the Vitra EVO C
The shape of EVO-C follows the necessities of stability and comfort. The visual unity and matte finish gives the EVO-C a formal clarity that bears the signature of Jasper Morrison's products - everything superfluous is omitted. The silhouette of the furniture is so graceful that the owner seems to float on it. Unused, the chair looks like a sculpture, symbolizing its absent owner. The chair is available in modern colors ivory, light mint, poppy red, graphite gray. The article is made of polypropylene dyed through and is 100 percent recyclable. The restrained design makes the chairs suitable for the office and private rooms - they are easy to clean in the canteen, dining room and kitchen. The designer Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison was born in England in 1959, grew up in the USA and studied in London (Royal College of Art) and Berlin (Hochschule für Bildende Künste). In 1986 he founded the design studio Jasper Morrison Ltd, where he works for well-known companies, including Vitra. The designer designed bus stops for the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein bus stops, which became part of the architectural exhibition. In the store you will find chairs by Jasper Morrison, the Vitra HAL Stool and the All Plastic Chair (APC), reminiscent of the famous Frankfurt kitchen chair, as well as beautiful accessories, the Vitra High Tray, the Vitra Cork Bowl and the Vitra Rotary Tray.
