The comfortable lounge chairs made of tubular steel was presented as a contribution of the Deutscher Werkbund in 1930 at the Paris Grand Palais. The free-swinging chair is a design with a single continuous line. Together with Herbert Bayer and Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer had directed the premiere of contemporary German furniture production in Paris. The ensuing duplication of cantilever effect causes the ausfedernden the seat armrests swinging the back and seat frame, which protrudes backwards balanced. Optionally, a matching footrest is available.
