The Vitra Slow Chair - extremely light design

The lounge chair by brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec is designed to slow down. The designers have reinterpreted a traditional piece of furniture. The Slow Chair consists of a tubular steel frame over which a resilient textile fabric is stretched. The lightness of the Slow Chair predestines the designer furniture also for smaller rooms. The chair includes the seat and two back cushions. In the color palette are available black, brown and green for the textile. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

The brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec were born in the 1970-ies in Quimper, France. The elder, Ronan Bouroullec, founded a design studio in Paris after his studies, to which he brought his younger brother, who initially worked with him as an assistant. In 1998, both artists became known for the "Disintegrated Kitchen", which was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair. Other products of the famous designers are the Vitra Belleville Chair, the Vitra Belleville Armchair, the Vitra Softshell Chair and items for interior decoration, such as the Vitra Algue and Vitra L'Oiseau.
