Vitra ID Trim L Office Swivel Chair Design meets ergonomics
The ID Chair Concept was developed between 2010 and 2012 by the internationally renowned designer Antonio Citterio. The concept offers individual solutions for the home office and the work and conference area that are ergonomically sophisticated and visually appealing. The ID Chair series meets high standards of functionality and aesthetics. Thanks to the numerous individual configuration options, the needs of the employees in the company are taken into account. With the ID Chairs, Citterio incorporated the requirements of the modern working world. Vitra ID Chairs offer a wide range of ergonomic features, bases and armrests. The characteristics of the upholstery and the seat covers are also freely selectable. The Vitra Chair is equipped with lumbar support, backrest counterforce and locking mechanism. With these options of technology, the Vitra ID Chair can be adjusted to the body size, in addition to the adjustability of the seat height and armrest. Optional features include the Flowmotion mechanism, a headrest, forward tilt, 3D armrests, and a coat hanger.
Ergonomics and quality of the Vitra ID Chair
The technology of the ID Chair is patented. The office swivel chair supports mobile and healthy sitting. The Institute of Biomechanics at ETH Zurich has proven that the synchronous forward tilt of the FlowMotion mechanism activates the muscles and lower spine while working. The tilt of the chairs keeps the spine erect and relieves pressure. The ID Chair supports you in both directions of movement. The chair is characterized by the fact that it is flexible and yet offers enormous stability. Freedom of movement and a healthy sitting posture are possible even during a long working day, thanks to soft seat cushions and effective air circulation in the back area. Available in numerous versions, the ID Chair is produced by the manufacturer Vitra in Switzerland. Like all products from manufacturer Vitra, the ID Chairs are produced according to strict standards that testify to quality awareness, durability and environmental consciousness.
The designer Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio, born in 1950, studied architecture in Milan at the Polytechnic. He worked with Paolo Nava in the field of industrial design before starting to produce furniture and other furnishings. For over twenty years, the designer has worked in his Milan office "Antonio Citterio and Partners" together with Patricia Viel. Citterio designed seating furniture, shelves, tables, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting. Twice Citterio received the design award Compasso d'Oro.
