Classic and timeless - the Vitra DAX
Since the beginning of 2024, the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Chairs have been made from a special material: recycled post-consumer plastic. The source of this recycled material is new - it comes from the German household recycling collection "Gelber Sack", mainly from used packaging. It reduces climate-damaging emissions compared to conventional plastic and uses significantly less energy. Another characteristic aspect of the new seat shells are the delicate speckles, especially in the lighter colors, which arise due to the composition of the recycled material.
The famous seat shell with armrests also finds a suitable home on this beautiful four-legged frame. The abbreviation "DAX" stands for Dining Armchair X-Base.
The restrained frame is available in chrome or black, powder-coated and in combination with the curved seat shell makes a classic and timeless impression.
Whether in the dining room, in the office or in the reading corner, the application possibilities are almost limitless.
