The HAL Tube Armrest chair with armrests by Vitra (Jasper Morrison, 2010): Jasper Morrison has created a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell chair with HAL again and created a varied range with a distinctly contemporary appearance. The shape of HAL's shell provides freedom of movement and the slightly flexible plastic makes many different sitting positions possible - even sideways and astride the chair. Since the beginning of 2024, the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Chairs have been made from a special material: recycled post-consumer plastic. The source of this recycled material is new - it comes from the German household recycling collection "Gelber Sack", mainly from used packaging. It reduces climate-damaging emissions compared to conventional plastic and uses significantly less energy. Another characteristic aspect of the new seat shells are the delicate speckles, especially in the lighter colors, which arise due to the composition of the recycled material.
