Thonet 1140 table - all-round and functional

Thonet presents the new 1140 table by Werner Aisslinger in 2021. The table was designed by the designer as a "Community Hub". Community Hub is the figurative expression for the communal experience at a table. The Thonet Table 1140 scores with versatility, functionality and simple elegance, to which the rounded table legs made of solid oak contribute, as well as the intentionally visible connecting elements on the tabletop, which leaves a floating impression. Thanks to this design, chairs and armchairs with armrests also fit under the top, which are stable and resilient. The all-rounder can be used in dining as well as working table, in gastronomy, seminar room, new work and many other areas. Designer Werner Aisslinger

Werner Aisslinger (*1964) has product design as his main focus, with an interest in new technologies. He studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and worked for Jasper Morrison, among others, until he founded his own studio Aisslinger in Berlin in 1993. He has received design awards including the Red Dot Design Award and the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.
