"Vitra Fauteuil de Salon chair"
The Vitra Fauteuil de Salon
The Vitra Fauteuil de Salon was discovered in the archives of designer Jean Prouvé and brought to market in a classic color scheme by manufacturer Vitra. The chair's understated design is characteristic of Jean Prouvé's furniture. The Chaise Tout Bois, the Vitra Fauteuil Direction (cover fabric Twill) and the tables Vitra Compas Direction, Vitra Table Solvay and Vitra Tabouret Solvay (all walnut or oak) were also designed by Prouvé and are available in the pro office store. The principle of the chairs, armchairs and tables is based on the rules of architecture, since the rear legs of the seats are the most loaded, they are constructed stronger, while on the front side are used dainty tubular steel legs. The seat and backrest are upholstered in fabric made of 70% virgin wool, while the armrests are made of oak. The frame is powder coated. The colors are based on the historical model, the article is available in black or cognac. Do you have any questions? Please contact your pro office store.
Jean Prouvé
Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) is not a classic designer, even though his products and properties received international attention. He worked as an architect, although he was trained as a blacksmith. Therefore, Prouvé called himself a constructor and was officially only consultative in the planning of buildings.
