With the Thonet 118 you decide for modern classics. The Thonet chair 118 is reminiscent of the so-called Frankfurt kitchen chair. This kitchen chair, also known as the Frankfurt chair, was a popular model from 1926 in the fifties and sixties of the last millennium, because it proved to be an all-round talent in the living area and today scores again as a Thonet dining chair as modern and solid seating furniture made of solid beech wood.

The 118 chair is available with either the classic cane weave or a trough seat. The black color goes well with any interior. With the rounded backrest, you can sit comfortably together at the table for a long time. The Thonet S 1070, S1071 or S 1072, which you can also find in the pro office store, are suitable as dining room tables. "Chairs should also be comfortable," the designer remarked during an interview at FR (Frankfurter Rundschau).

Sebastian Herkner (*1981 in Bad Mergentheim) studied design at the University of Applied Sciences in Offenbach, where he designed furniture and other products while still a student, exploring new technologies and traditional crafts. In 2006, he founded his own company as a design studio in Offenbach and in 2011 received the Design Award of the FRG as the best newcomer. In 2019 Herkner became "Designer of the Year", and in 2020 he received the German Design Award. For the Thonet 118 chair, the graduate designer focused on minimalism and timeless elegance, as with the famous Viennese coffee house chair made of bentwood.
