Thonet S 64 NDR: the modern classic on castors

The working world has changed and with it the products of the traditional Thonet company. The home office has become part of everyday life. Thonet has developed solutions that make it possible to communicate and work flexibly - including the Thonet S 64 NDR, which is based on the S 64 cantilever chair by designer Marcel Breuer that dates back to 1935.

The combination of cantilever chair and swivel chair was also thought of as early as 1935. However, the final design was created by the Swiss Christophe Marchand (*1965), who has already developed several pieces of furniture made of tubular steel for the manufacturer Thonet based on existing design ideas. The swivel chair has a secure five-star base with castors. The frame is powder-coated, polished aluminium or chrome-plated tubular steel. The back, seat and armrests have parts in stained beech. Somewhat more upholstered are the two chairs S 64 SPVDR and S 64 PVDR by Thonet, which you can also find in the pro office shop. Matching tables are also available for each chair.
