Vitra Soft Pad EA 207

The Vitra Soft Pad Chair EA 207

This chair from the Soft Pad Group was developed in 1969. The Soft Pad Chairs are related to the Aluminium Group but offer greater comfort. They are built from stitched cushions covered in fine leather, which allows them to adapt to the body. The generous padding contrasts with the slender profile of the aluminium base. The Soft Pad Chair is a substantial office chair with a comfort close to that of an armchair. Designers Charles and Ray Eames conceived it in leather with a fabric backrest. Alongside the popular version in classic black, further understated colours are available that suit and enhance any interior. In the pro office shop you will find other models from the Soft Pad Group, including the Soft Pad Chairs EA 205 and EA 208, the EA 222 stool and many further pieces by Charles and Ray Eames.

Manufacturer's guarantee

Vitra provides a 30-year guarantee on the Eames Soft Pad Group, calculated from the date of purchase. It requires the product to be registered at vitra.com within six months of purchase, together with the original invoice; without registration there is no entitlement under the guarantee. The guarantee applies to purchases made on or after 1 January 2024 and covers both private and business use. A two-year guarantee applies instead to pneumatic cylinders, castors, glides, fittings, height and tilt adjustment mechanisms, motors and electronic components. The guarantee applies in addition to the legal guarantee of conformity and does not restrict it.
