"ClassiCon Saturn Coat Rack"
Design: Barber Osgerby, 2007
ClassiCon Saturn - the coat rack as an art object
Saturn is the outermost planet visible to the naked eye, and was therefore known even before the invention of the telescope. It was named after the Roman god who was responsible for sowing and the golden age. The sickle of this god represents the astronomical symbol. The ClassiCon Saturn coat rack by the Barber Osgerby design studio makes a similar statement. The stand appears as a modern sculpture that offers space for jackets and bags. The graceful-looking object with large arches made of wood is suitable for placing coats and bags directly above it. There are also two additional metal hooks on the arches, where clothes can be hung conventionally with the hanger on the coat rack. Each as he likes: there is hardly a more stylish way. The ClassiCon Saturn, designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, is available in natural American walnut and stained beech in black, both solid. The design of the ClassiCon Saturn dates back to 2007.
