Thonet S 220 f chair

The S 220 F is a molded wood chair with a bentwood armrest designed by the Industrial Facility design studio. The design is based on the established form repertoire of the iconic 214 and 209 bentwood chairs, but the S 220 features an ergonomic seat shell with an elegant waist and a downward rounded leading edge known as the "waterfall edge." This distinctive feature provides a high level of seating comfort and avoids pressure points. The S 220 F is available in a variety of woods and colorways and is suitable for use in both residential and commercial applications. By utilizing the technical possibilities of the molded wood material, the aesthetics of the chair are combined with a controlled organicity and precise lines. The molded wood shell comfortably embraces and supports the user, allowing the seat shell to sway comfortably.
