The table S 1070, which, unlike S 1071 and S 1072, is not extendable, fits Thonet chairs and many other chairs. The clear design fits into any ambience. The frame is made of chrome-plated tubular steel, the table top is made of fine wood, clear lacquered ash or walnut. The high-quality dining table is available in three lengths, 2m, 2.20m or 2.40m - the right size for every household. The width is one metre for all models.
The tables were designed to match the classic cantilever chairs by the German designer Glen Oliver Löw. The chrome steel legs take up the curve geometry of Marcel Breuer, so that the Bauhaus chairs perfectly match the table. Both chair and table are produced by the traditional company Thonet.
The designer Glen Oliver Löw
Glen Oliver Löw (*1959) born in Leverkusen, Germany, studied industrial design in Germany and Italy and graduated with a master's degree. From 1987 to 2000 he worked with the legendary Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio. Since 2000 Glen Oliver Löw has been a professor at the University of Fine Arts. In Hamburg he also designs furniture in his own studio, among others for the manufacturer Thonet. He has already received the Red Dot Award for his designs.
