Vitra Eames Desk Unit EDU
The desk Eames Desk Unit EDU is from manufacturer Vitra, designed by the designer couple Charles and Ray Eames in 1949 according to architectural principles similar to the Eames House. Charles and Ray Eames developed a system of freestanding desks and shelves, which can be adapted modularly according to your needs. The design of the Eames Storage Units ESU Bookcase and Eames Storage Unit ESU Shelf exactly match the desk, so the furniture is a unified concept in the room. The desk has a wooden tabletop (birch veneer). The panels serve to screen the two storage units in the colors pale blue, mauve, gray, fawn, Eames red and rust orange. A leveling option is used to compensate for uneven floors. The metal surfaces are powder-coated black, and the panels are powder-coated aluminum.

The husband and wife team of Charles and Ray Eames are the definitive designers of the 1950s; their products are among the classics of midcentury design that have always been and remain modern. The couple became famous for their lounge chair and the Plastic and Aluminum Chairs, which you can also find in the pro office store. Some of the items also fit as seating furniture to the Vitra Eames Desk.
