Designer
Michele De Lucchi
Born in Padua, the designer graduated in architecture in Milan. In 1988, he presented the "Tavolo interattivo", his interactive table, at the "Il gioco delle parti" exhibition in the Palazzo dell'arte in Milan. In 1989 he worked for 4 years with the Studio Sottsass Associati on architectural and industrial design projects. In his studio in Milan, he worked on important projects such as Enel's archive centre in Estre. He taught industrial design at the Università del progetto di Reggio Emilia.
Giancarlo Fassina
Born in Milan in 1935, he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico in Milan. For Artemide, he designed lighting elements such as the Tolomeo series, for which he received the Compasso d'Oro award together with Michele De Lucchi. The Tolomeo collection was created in collaboration with Artemide and is one of his most famous designs. The lamps are equipped with a spring balancer system and a flexibly adjustable light.
