The chairs based on the design of Arne Jacobsen are now available in 16 colors of lacquered ash and seven different frame variations. The colors of the chairs can also be individualized by different frames, Chrome, Silver Grey, White, Warm Graphite, Nine Grey, Brown Bronze and Black are available. The well-known Italian gallery owner and editor Carla Sozzani was involved in the color selection.

Carla Sozzani

Carla Sozzani was born in Mantua in 1947. She studied economics at the Bocconi University in Milan, where she already worked as an editor for fashion magazines in the early 1970s. She was editor-in-chief the Italian Vogue until she became the American Vogue for Italy. In 1987, she founded the Italian edition of Elle magazine. In 1989 Sozzani met the American artist Kris Ruhs. A year later, she founded Galleria Carla Sozzani at 10 Corso Como in Milan, where she presented more than 250 photography and design exhibitions, including celebrities such as Helmut Newton and Jean Prouvé. In 1991, Sozzani expanded her gallery to include a fashion and design store, a bookstore, a hotel called Three Rooms and a rooftop garden, partly in collaboration with her partner Kris Ruhs. She brought the Corso Como concept to China (Shanghai). In 2017, she founded Fondazione Sozzani, which focuses on the quality and aesthetic depth of contemporary life, promoting both applied and fine arts. In the fall of 2018, Sozzani opened a New York branch with the Howard Hughes Corporation at the South Street Seaport. Sozzani is considered an admirer of the design of Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971).
