Product information

"Wilkhahn Stitz"

Stitz from WilkhahnMove to move
The seat of Wilkhahn animates the moving attitude. A posture between sitting and standing. More specifically, he is not "possessed". It is "clamped" obliquely between the floor and the buttocks. The height adjustment of the round seat is intuitive. The support angle can thus be changed. The Sporthochschule Cologne confirms the positive effect on the functions of the metabolism, the improvement of the balance and the promotion of the muscles. Reduced to the simplest possible form, the design icon in office, studio or even on a standing console convince. The fields of application are numerous.

Details
The black-colored materials are powerful and ensure that scratches are hardly visible even after prolonged use. The seat insert is available in waxed natural cork, fabric or embossed leather. If you do not want to sit in your work without having to stand for it, the Stitz is the sensible and ingenious support.

This is how it works
The bellows filled with quartz sand is made of an elastomer and makes Wilkhahn's cultivator affinity. The round handle under the seat plate allows the height adjustment by means of a gas spring. And that, infinitely variable from 65 to 90cm.

FAQs

Height-adjustable, movable standing aids can help with a herniated disc, as switching between standing and sitting can relieve pressure on the spine. Orthopedic active stools are highly recommended (e.g., the Stitz from Wilkhahn). Stability, an upright posture, and use at a height-adjustable table are crucial.
An ergonomic standing stool is a great way to relieve strain on your feet, legs, and back muscles. While office stools are primarily designed for sitting, standing stools are not intended for sitting, but rather for leaning, which could be described as standing while sitting. In this position, they can support up to 60–70% of your body weight.
For a standing aid such as the Wilkhahn Stitz, the height should be adjusted so that you are working in a “half-sitting” position (approx. 40–45% of your height). The Wilkhahn Stitz is adjustable by gas spring, in a range from around 65 to a good 90 cm, and thus covers typical heights very well.
