Charles and Ray Eames were commissioned by Time Inc. to fit out three lobbies in the Time & Life Building at Rockefeller Center in New York. Well as complete interior fixtures and fittings the large-scale project included the comfortable Lobby Chairs and a series of solid walnut stools.
