Since the beginning of 2024, the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Chairs have been made from a special material: recycled post-consumer plastic. The source of this recycled material is new - it comes from the German household recycling collection "Gelber Sack", mainly from used packaging. It reduces climate-damaging emissions compared to conventional plastic and uses significantly less energy. Another characteristic aspect of the new seat shells are the delicate speckles, especially in the lighter colors, which arise due to the composition of the recycled material.

Now with design from nature: The modern classic Vitra Hal Tube is now available with a wooden base, natural or dark oak and black pigmented walnut. The four-legged base made of fine wood gives the HAL Tube stability and expression. The recycling plastic seat shell is slightly flexible and therefore offers a good seating comfort. While three high-quality woods are available for the chairs' wooden legs, the seat shell is available in eight different colors. The furniture is available in predominantly restrained colors such as white, ice grey, ivy, basic dark, chocolate, brick or warm grey. If you choose the chair as a color spot, you may opt for the color orange.

He is one of the successful industrial designers. He Morrisson coined the term "supernormal" for formally unobtrusive design. He developed his HAL chairs together with the manufacturer Vitra.
