Vitra DSS - Practical and beautiful

Since the beginning of 2024, the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Chairs have been made from a special material: recycled post-consumer plastic. The source of this recycled material is new - it comes from the German household recycling collection "Gelber Sack", mainly from used packaging. It reduces climate-damaging emissions compared to conventional plastic and uses significantly less energy. Another characteristic aspect of the new seat shells are the delicate speckles, especially in the lighter colors, which arise due to the composition of the recycled material.

The robust material of the Eames Plastic Chairs is particularly suitable for use in public areas. The Vitra DSS offers the possibility of linking any number of chairs together, and the chairs can also be stacked and stowed away to save space. This means that the Eames chairs can be set up quickly at events and optimum seating arrangement is guaranteed in a short time thanks to the interlinking.

As with all models of the Eames Plastic Chairs, the Vitra DSS is also individually configurable. You can choose from various seat upholstery and full upholstery made of high-quality Plano fabric.
