The new USM Haller Lock C

The traditional padlock has had its day. In times of electronic door locks and other smart locks, such as Bluetooth padlocks, it's time to go with the flow. The new USM Haller Lock C is an electromechanical lock that can be integrated into all USM worlds. With the app developed for it, storage space and locks can be managed very easily. Dual technologies such as RFID and Bluetooth enable simple operation via key card or user-friendly app on the smartphone. The new USM lock is adaptable and can be easily attached to existing USM systems. The existing handle on your USM system can be easily replaced with the USM Lock C.

Modes

The USM Haller Lock C has up to three different modes of use. This allows the lock to be used for and adapted to different and changing needs. The corresponding modes allow both short-term and long-term use. Thanks to the convenient app, the lock can be opened in no time via Bluetooth and app. The modes can be easily changed and adapted in the app.

Public Locker mode

In this mode, multiple users have a choice of lockers. Users can select a free locker and then lock and unlock it with the key card or app. This mode is well suited for areas where lockers are used temporarily. These include open spaces, desk sharing or reception and cloakroom areas.

Personal Locker Mode

This mode is intended for a long-term period and for areas such as fixed office spaces or private areas. A locker is assigned to a person. This person can then securely store personal items, confidential documents and other things in the locker. If necessary, however, a locker can be changed and adapted.

Shared Locker Mode

The Shared Locker Mode allows for shared use of the locker. Access can be authorised for several people and thus be used by several people. This mode of use is particularly suitable for teams, groups or projects. The locker can thus be used as a shared storage location.

Many possible uses

The many modes of use open up many possibilities for using the USM Haller Lock C. The lock is ideal for areas accessible to the public, where visitors or guests can lock their items securely. As a temporary storage unit, all the things you don't want to take inside can be locked. The app allows for quick and flexible handling of the lock, making it easy for different users to operate the lock at all times.

In workplaces, the need for permanent personal storage space is decreasing. Co-working spaces or other modern workspaces often also have reduced personal storage space. Flexible storage space is made possible by the C lock. Confidential documents and personal items can be stored securely. This works anywhere, whether it's an executive's office, a private locker for employees or as a child safety lock for the home.

Thanks to the Shared Locker mode, it can also be used by an entire group. Things that have been worked on together can thus be stored and easily accessed at any time. The contents of the locker can also be easily shared with others. If an employee is on holiday or in the home office, the lock can be released to other team members via app. The use of the locker remains flexible and the contents are always accessible.

Backwards compatible - retrofitting made easy

The new lock C makes it possible to take existing storage space to another level. USM has always understood how to create furniture that is versatile in use. The more versatile the use of a surface can be, the more valuable the storage space becomes. USM creates furniture with a timeless design and the ability to adapt to changing needs.

In true USM style, new pieces can be easily retrofitted and integrated into existing systems. The new USM Haller lock C is backwards compatible and can be easily installed in existing USM furniture. This does not require the entire door to be removed. Only the handle or lock grip is replaced with the Lock C with a small amount of assembly work. The batteries of lock C are also easy to replace. This is done from the outside without having to unlock the lock first.

Clear and intuitive management

The smart USM APP offers user-friendly and intuitive use. This offers a major advantage over analogue locker management. Real keys have to be issued and stored and can also be lost. Analogue locker management requires more organisation and time. You need a locker plan, you have to manage the keys and the lockers.

The USM Haller Lock C offers a much less complicated and simpler lock administration. The basic operation of Lock C is the Public Locker mode. Here, there is no fixed assignment of a lock to a smartphone or a key card. If a key card is lost, a new one can simply be assigned and issued. In this case, a locking plan is no longer necessary. The power user can also perform an emergency opening. The USM app can also be used to manage other components. In addition to the general organisation, this also includes the battery status of the locks, log files or updates.
