His grandfather was already a carpenter and awakened his passion for wood, which ultimately led Holm to choose a career as a furniture designer. After four years as a journeyman, Holm attended the School of Design and Crafts (HDK) in Gothenburg, where he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA), and the University of Gothenburg. In 2008, the designer founded his own studio, Staffan Holm Designstudio. Numerous nominations and awards such as the Golden Chair Award, Designer of the Year Award and Furniture of the Year, as well as cultural scholarships distinguish this artist. His products have been exhibited in Sweden, Milan and the Netherlands. His three-legged Spin stool made it to London's Victoria & Albert Museum of Art and Design in 2015. His studio creates not only furniture and accessories, but also interior and industrial design. Holm has designed tables (tables), sofas and bar stools. Also known are the "Alle" Coffee table black made of oak and walnut. Alle means "everyone".
