The lighting concept

The special design is made up of several cells in a diamond shape and gives the impression of a ball of light. The cells are designed in such a way that each cell can capture the light and shield the light source at an angle of 45 degrees. Every single cell of the Louis Poulsen Patera shines. The individual fields direct the light downwards at an angle of less than 45 degrees. Some light is also directed upwards to the ceiling.

Nature as a model

The design follows a natural symmetry that can also be found in nature. It is the fascination for the Fibonacci sequence that designer Øivind Slaatto incorporated into the design. A similar pattern can be seen, for example, on fir cones.

Modern eye-catcher

The harmonious construction looks like the modern interpretation of a chandelier and attracts attention, whether in living areas or in galleries, corridors and many other locations. The Louis Poulsen Patera is a fascinating luminaire that has received its unique form inspired by nature from the design studio Slatto Design.

The Louis Poulsen Patera is available in all three sizes with energy-saving LED technology.

Care instructions

Dust can be removed with a dry, soft cloth. To remove grease stains, use a wrung cloth with lukewarm water (<50°C) and a mild detergent. Dust on the blades can be removed through the openings with compressed air or a thin feather duster.
