Louis Poulsen Above - the refined luminaire

The soft, pleasant light radiates downwards. The uniform light distribution is achieved by the matt white lacquered surface and the conical shape. At the top of the luminaire there is an opening through which the arch above is illuminated decoratively. The visual form of the luminaire retains its unique luminosity when unlit and illuminated. The Louis Poulsen Above creates an atmospheric and pleasant ambience. The name "Above" describes the refined, open top.

Functional design

The design was created by Mads Odgård. This is the designer's first Louis Poulsen project for interior lighting. The functionality of the design plays a special role for him, which is why he begins exactly with the design. More precisely, the development begins with a simple drawing of a room using simple graphic silhouettes. Odgård follows its conviction "to become as simple as possible".

He now applied Odgård's knowledge and experience in outdoor lighting to indoor applications. The Above illuminates the room without becoming dominant. Particular attention was paid to the interaction of light with space.

An eye-catcher in every room

The Louis Poulsen Above is manufactured in Denmark. It is made of aluminium and has a lacquered, matt finish. The application possibilities are almost unlimited. The Above cuts a good figure in your own four walls as well as in bistros, bars, restaurants and retail outlets.
