Who is the company Kartell?
Kartell was founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli. Since then, the company has made a name for itself with design furniture made of plastic with now 150 stores and 850 showrooms. Milan-based Kartell is also known for the Componibili shelf by Anna Castelli Ferrieri, wife of the founder, the Louis Ghost chair by Philippe Starck, the Bookworm by Ron Arad and the Bourgie table lamp by Ferruccio Laviani. Exceptional design and material is the flagship of the company. In 1999, the company Kartell managed to produce a plastic with weatherproof properties, now there are also products from Kartell made of bioplastic, which are 100% biodegradable.
