Gaetano Pesce is an Italian designer and architect. Pesce studied architecture at the IUAV. In 1972, the designer headed Bracciodiferro, an experimental design company founded by Cassina. Pesce also taught at renowned universities such as the Domus Academy in Milan and the Institut d'Árchitecture et d'Etudes Urbaines in Strasbourg. In 1980 Pesce moved to New York. He was one of the first designers to experiment with felt in 1987. Pesce was awarded the Chrysler Design Award and the A&W Designer of the Year prize, among others.
