Fritz Hansen Essay™ is simple and elegant. Its clear lines are functional without frills. Oriented towards industrial design, this table is simple in its lines, but consists entirely of wood. This gives it a natural and organic look. The tabletop extends far beyond the legs and also offers enough space at the end of the table. For the 150th anniversary, the solid wood table is available in the "colourless oiled oak" variant. The Essay™ was designed by the Danish designer Cecilie Manz.
Cecilie Manz
The Danish designer Cecilie Manz was born in 1972. She studied at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen and was an exchange student in Helsinki at the "Finnish School of Design and Art". She graduated in 1997 and worked in Yrjö Wiherheimo's studio in Helsinki. After returning to Copenhagen, she founded her own studio under the name Manz Lab in 1998. Manz has designed for many manufacturers, including Fritz Hansen, Lightyears, Holmegaard and Frederica Furniture. One of her most famous designs is the Caravaggio lamp and the Mikado table. She has received numerous design awards for her designs.
