But a short, handy name makes itself better as an architect and designer and remains more easily remembered. The first son of the company family Thun was a student at the Summer Academy of Salzburg, before he graduated in 1975 at the University of Florence. From 1983 to 1996 he was a professor for design in Vienna at the University of Applied Arts. During this time, in 1984, Thun founded his own studio in Milan with the name Thun & Partners. He received orders from all over the world as well as the design of a façade for the film festival in Venice for three consecutive years. His motto is always "eco - non ego", which is as much as eco - not ego. It is important to him to deal with the materials and the environment. In addition to architecture and design, he also deals with communication. He was awarded three times with the "Compasso d'Oro", a prize for first-class design.
