A conference or meeting room is always a flagship for a company. The corresponding conference furniture and the furnishings must be stylish and appealing. At the same time, the company must be represented and reflected in them. Stylish office furniture makes the conference room look inviting. There are many other requirements for a conference room. Basically, the furniture in a conference room should always create optimal conditions so that presentations, meetings and brainstorming can run smoothly.

Finding the optimal conference furniture

Nowadays, contemporary room furnishings must meet many requirements. Many factors play into the choice. Comfort is a very important point in the choice, especially that, of conference chairs. During long meetings and discussions, comfortable office chairs are very important in the conference room. Nowadays, the furniture must offer one thing above all: Flexible use that allows for individual solutions. Every team, every company is unique in its needs, requirements and ideas. These must be met. Good, modern conference rooms are tailored to their intended use down to the last detail. This ensures that everything runs smoothly in terms of the premises.

The right conference table

At first glance, conference tables seem to be a simple issue. You pick a suitable table and that's it? The truth is, every conference room is different. And so are the requirements for use. The right table is neither too big nor too small and fits perfectly into the room. The table must be large enough so that all participants can sit down and also have enough space on the table for their technical equipment and documents. However, the conference table should only be as large as the space in the room allows. When standing up and sitting down, there must be enough space without bumping into walls or other obstacles. A conference table that is too large is a no-go. In addition, there are many other factors to consider. Should the table be square or round? A round conference table looks more organic. A square one, on the other hand, may fit better in conventionally cut rooms. Depending on the type of use, the conference table may need cable outlets and cable channels to organize technology for presentations and other things. These factors play an important role in the selection process.

Other tables for the conference room

The conference table is only one of the possible tables in a conference room. Besides the conference table, there are also meeting tables, standing tables, folding tables, desks or reception desks. We will now explain for what purpose which table can be useful.

A folding table is the most flexible table. It can be used according to your needs and preferences. It can be used to store catering, necessary documents or handouts that become relevant at a later stage in the conference and would otherwise be in the way on the conference table. When not in use, it can simply remain stowed away and the space can be used elsewhere.

Desks in the conference room can be used in a similar way. These can also provide space for things that don't belong on the conference table. These could additionally include technical equipment. They can also provide space for minute takers, technical support staff, or other attendants who are not participating in the conference in the strictest sense, but who need a seat.

For meetings with few people, a separate meeting table is suitable. Large conferences do not take place every day. To make good use of the room in the meantime, a smaller meeting table is a good option.

Bar tables are a good option to create targeted places for conversations. Before the start of a conference, or during breaks, this offers participants a spot where they can stand, talk and exchange documents and other things. This breaks up the space and diversifies its use.

A reception counter is not a typical part of conference furniture. Usually, guests are received in front of the conference room, not in it. In particularly large rooms, there would be enough space for a reception counter. It could take on more specific tasks and provide guests with more information.

Chairs for the conference room

The right conference chairs are important because you have to accommodate many different people. Long meetings require sitting for long periods of time. This in turn requires the right chairs. They need to be comfortable enough so that sitting for long periods of time is not a problem. If possible, these should also have an ergonomic factor so that sitting is not only comfortable but also sustainably healthy. The design should be matched to the conference table and the rest of the interior. Classic for conference chairs are durable covers made of leather or fabric blends. Conference rooms with plenty of space can be outfitted with lush lounge chairs, if desired. For a sleeker look, slim office chairs are better. The main deciding factors for conference chairs are the available space, the planned number of people and the desired design.
