Jaime Hayon - the visionary

Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. The installations "Mediterranean Digital Baroque" and "Mon Cirque" put Hayon at the forefront of a new wave that erased the boundaries between art, decoration and design and heralded a renaissance of finely crafted complex objects in the context of contemporary design culture.

Hayon presented his work in solo exhibitions, major galleries, and design and art fairs around the globe. After founding Hayon Studio in 2001, his client base expanded to include home furniture for Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen, such as the Ro armchair like Tranquility, and objects for Swarovski; other furniture, including sofas, tables and rugs, lighting and accessories such as candlesticks, mirrors and the Ikebana vase followed. Hayon is also known for complete interior designs for restaurants, hotels, museums and retail stores worldwide.

Hayon Studio's creative base is in Valencia, Spain, with offices in Barcelona and Treviso, Italy. Jaime's work has been included in the most prestigious art and design publications worldwide. He has won numerous awards, including several Elle Decoration International Design Awards. Hayon was named to Wallpaper Magazine's Top 100 list and one of the most influential designers of the last decade. The Times Magazine praised him as a visionary and design icon.
