Atmospheric light in the dark season

In the dark season, atmospheric lighting provides coziness.

Autumn and the gray November are over, Christmas is approaching, the longing for light increases. Fairy lights and candles provide atmospheric lighting in winter. To keep the mood good, there are a few things to keep in mind. Paraffin-based candles are suspected of being harmful to health in enclosed spaces. The commercial kerosene candles do not reach the necessary temperatures to burn the kerosene to water and carbon dioxide. Candles based on beeswax, on the other hand, do not produce undesirable substances such as the two hydrocarbons benzene and toluene. Emissions from kerosene candles that are hazardous to health can trigger allergies or respiratory problems such as asthma. In addition, with candles in general, there is a possible formation of soot, which is deposited on the wallpaper or ceiling, wax stains in the environment, as well as the risk of fire due to carelessness.

Alternative light in winter

The alternative is artificial LED candles that glow almost exactly like traditional candles and add accents. Framed with decorations from nature, such as twigs, stones or fruits, the LED or beeswax candles beautify your home. LED candles are now also available in sets of different heights, so that the candles also look natural when you put several of them. Even in the office or home office, LED candles and fairy lights are all better than burning candles. If you don't want to do without kerosene candles, it's best to put them in a decorative lamp outside in the garden.

Tips for lighting

Atmospheric lighting also works with luminaires. In the pro office store there is a large selection of designer lamps that are not only visually appealing, but have been designed so that the light has a special effect and does not dazzle. The Vitra Akari lamps were built in the early 1950-ies by designer Isamu Noguchi to capture the light of the sun and moon through wood, bamboo and shoji paper. The Fritz Hansen Night Owl™ by designer Nicholai Wiig Hansen also creates a very special atmosphere with its warm light. The colors of the lights are inspired by nature - Midnight Blue, Smokey White and Ash. Mood is also created by the series of lamps Cloud by Frank Gehry. With the Cloud luminaires, the name is aesthetic program, warm white LED light illuminates atmospheric and also consumes little energy.
