Cloud - floating and light design

The name "Cloud" already conveys the poetic character of this unique lighting series. Frank Gehry created this "light" design and gave the lamps a floating dress. These Belux lamps convey a piece of freedom and cosiness. They are available in a wide variety of designs and thus know how to find their place in the most diverse furnishing situations.

Sculptural form, soft diffuse light

A special feature of the Cloud luminaires is the non-visible light source. The light is surrounded by a voluminous, delicate paper-like shade and creates a softly diffused light. The innumerable curves, folds and sculptural shapes are sometimes reminiscent of fluffy clouds and sometimes of a soft snowball. A closer look reveals the connected and cup-like elements that make up the shade. And although all lamps have their predetermined shape, each individual lamp captivates with its own charm and unmistakable touch.

Easily customize Belux Cloud yourself

Fold structures are created during production, which can be formed into unique designs by pressing in or bulging. The user becomes a co-designer, Frank Gehry invites you to adapt your design to your own taste.

Variety of luminaires

In cooperation with Belux, Frank Gehry has created a series of lights that offers the right model for many areas. The portfolio includes pendant lights, floor lamps, table and floor lamps.

Material

Gehry sees the Cloud series as an homage to Isamu Noguchi, whose Akari lamps have a similar sculptural look. Belux and Gehry chose a polyester material that has been refined several times and feels similar to strong fibre paper. The material is flame-retardant, tear-resistant, age-resistant and easy to clean.
